July 4 is our Independence Day. Most cities are planning a celebration of some kind. Although small, Thomasville is again planning a fireworks celebration worthy of a much larger town. People from local areas and neighboring towns can come for ice cream, fireworks, and a rodeo. This is the 55th Thomasville Independence Day Celebration at the Thomasville Eleven Point Valley Community Center.
When Is This?
Thomasville, MO, celebrates Independence Day on Saturday, July 1, 2023. Gates open at 4:00 pm. The rodeo begins at 7:00 pm, and the fireworks follow at dusk.
Where Is This?
All events happen at the Thomasville Eleven Point Valley Community Center. From Alton, MO, take US Highway 160 west to Highway 99. Take 99 across the river, straight into town. The center has a lot of parking available, with parking attendants directing the parking.
Who Can Attend?
Everyone! This evening’s activities are all-ages appropriate.
What Else Happens?
Besides the rodeo and the fireworks celebration, they will sell concessions and have an ice cream parlor, kettle corn, and frozen lemonade. They will also host a quilt raffle.
Cost?
They do have a low cost of $5 per person.
