In the fall of 2023, the Alton Chamber of Commerce decided to have a pocket park between the Alton Public Library and JoElla Beauty Collective. Here’s an update on how it is going.
Background
In October of 2023, the Alton Chamber of Commerce launched a survey to obtain feedback on the proposed pocket park between the Library and JoElla’s on the square in Alton, Missouri. Originally the Chamber was going to be in charge of it, but now the city is in charge of it. A Friends of Alton Parks group has been organized to finish up the pocket park.
Friends of Alton Parks
Friends of Alton Parks has decided to extend the work of the Chamber by making the pocket park survey available online in hopes of increasing input from the community before a design is finalized.
