Alton, Mo. – At the 2019 Walnut Festival in Alton, Missouri, the local Farmers Market met for the second to last time this year. Although the Amish were not at this Farmers Market, there were still some of the other regulars, selling vegetables and other hand made items.
A Good Day
All summer long, the Alton Farmers Market has been set up at Piney Creek Park every Saturday. Today was one of the last time the farmers market will get together to sell their wares as a market in 2019.
Making the best of their meeting together, the Farmers Market had booths set up as usual- this time though, they were on the square. The Walnut Festival helped drive more traffic to the seller’s booths, and vegetables and pastries went fast with handmade goods quickly selling as well.
Last Farmers Market
This was the second to last time we will see the Alton Farmers Market until 2020. This Saturday, the last Farmers Market will be held in Piney Creek Park as usual. However, there could be private markets set up around town so don’t give up on those fresh tomatoes yet.
