Thomasville, Mo. – Thomasville, Missouri, held its Fourth of July festivities on Saturday, July 1, 2023, in Thomasville. The rodeo was the night’s main event, but there were several other highlights.
Rainy Weather
Locals in the area got about 1/4 inch of rain in the afternoon. The rodeo arena was a mud pit, but riders and attendees still showed up.
Concessions
Different vendors were set up around the Thomasville Community Center, selling kettle corn, pork rinds, drinks, and more. Inside, ice cream was available.
Rodeo
The rodeo, presented by Ozark Family Rodeo, started at 7:00 pm with the Star-Spangled Banner and a prayer. Barrel and pole racing were the first of the night’s events. Mutton busting and mini bull riding followed. After the fireworks, the older age groups for bull riding came out along with team roping.
Fireworks
Around 10:00 pm, the lights were turned off, and the fireworks lit up the sky. The show lasted for about ten minutes.
