Families for Home Education (FHE) is having an art and photo contest from Sunday, January 1, 2023, to Wednesday, February 15, 2023. [1] This is open to all homeschoolers so they can show off their creativity.
Theme
The theme of this year’s art contest is “The Heart of a Homeschooler.” What makes up a homeschooler? What’s the best thing about being homeschooled?
Homeschoolers
This is open to all Missouri residents currently being homeschooled. Public school virtual or at-home private school programs are not eligible to enter.
Age Groups
There are age groups when you enter. These ages are as of January 1st.
- 5-8 year old
- 9-12 year old
- 13-18 year old
Submit
Once you’ve drawn your art or taken a photograph, you can email your entry to info@fhe-mo.org and should include the child’s first name, age, birthdate, and country. All files must be a .jpg or .png. Each child can submit only one entry. There is no entry fee.
Judging
The judges will be judging the art and picture on originality, artistry, and adherence to the theme.
Winners
To be eligible for the prize, you must be at the state capitol in Jefferson City for Homeschool Day on March 7, 2023. The prizes for each age group is as follows:
- 1st place- $50
- 2nd place- $25
- 3rd place- $10
