Thomasville’s Independence Day Celebration A Big Success

Thomasville, Mo. – Thomasville, Missouri, had its Independence Day celebration on July 6, 2024. They had food vendors, raffles, a rodeo, fireworks, and more!

Food

Food vendors were lined up around the community center selling popcorn, drinks, nachos, and more. Inside, people were able to get ice cream cones, sundaes, and brownies.

Raffles

Thomasville’s annual 4th of July quilt raffle went on until right before fireworks. The proceeds from the raffle equaled $456.00. [1] A raffle for a gun was also going on.

Rodeo

The rodeo started at 7:00 pm with barrel racing. Pole racing came next, than the fireworks. The rodeo resumed after the fireworks with mutton busting, bull walk-outs, bull riding, and team roping.

Fireworks

Although the fireworks show lasted only about ten minutes, the crowd enjoyed every bit of it as they were almost right under it.
