UPDATE: The distribution is postponed for February 3rd. Check back next week on the radio for the rescheduled date. [1]
The second food bank of the month is happening on February 2nd and 3rd of 2022 at the Alton, Missouri, Community Center. Any help is appreciated on either day.
February 2nd
February 2nd is when helpers unload the semi-truck full of food. They also arrange everything for the next day. Helpers are requested to show up at 9:00 am at the Community Center.
Handing Out Food
The next day, Thursday, February 3rd, is when the handing out is actually done. Volunteers can arrive whenever they can, but the starting time is 7:30 am. People are also welcomed to help out at 11:00 am, since the public-schoolers have to go back to school then.
How Long Does It Go?
For the first day, depending on how much food there is, it may go from noon to two. On the day they hand out the food, it can go from one in the afternoon until much later.
If you know anyone, or you yourself, who wants to help out, feel free to show up!

A note on terminology. This is the Alton Food PANTRY. A food Pantry is a local distribution site. A food Bank is a central warehouse where regional food donations are gathered and stored. Thank you for publicizing the food pantry.
You are welcome and thank you for the clarification.
