“Eat mor chikin,” says the cows that advertise for Chick-fil-A, and we willingly do. Customers pour in six days of the week to pay more for one piece of chicken and a “my pleasure” at Chick-fil-A than they would at McDonald’s for twenty pieces of chicken and a “have a nice day.” Although we could spend hours discussing which fast food joint has the best chicken, this article isn’t about finding the best chicken for your buck. Instead, this is to remind you that this Tuesday, July 9, Chick-fil-A will be offering free entrees to anyone who enters their store dressed in any type of cow apparel.
Cow Appreciation Day
If you’ve ever wanted free Chick-fil-A, this Tuesday is your day. If you haven’t already heard, on July 9, you can wear something “cow-like” [1] and receive a free entree from the famous fast food chain. Cow Appreciation Day, as it’s called, has been going on for 15 years now, with nearly 2 million customers participating by donning some type of cow accessory.
You can go all out and go to the restaurant dressed exactly like the black and white spotted cow mascot, or you can just wear a spotted cow hat- anything goes on Cow Appreciation Day. All you have to do to receive your free food is go to a Chick-fil-A from opening time until 7 p.m. wearing anything cow-like, e.g., cow spots on a t-shirt, hat, or accessory, and receive a free entree off the menu. Salads will not be participating in this deal; however, and children dressed in any cow apparel will receive a free Kid’s Meal.
