The 17th annual chocolate festival will take place Saturday, February 8, 2020. This yearly event takes place at the First Methodist Church in West Plains, Missouri.
What Are The Details?
On Saturday, February 8, 2020, the church will open its doors to a chocolate festival. Admission is free. They don’t even check to see who is local or not. Everyone is welcome!
Entries need to be in by 10:00 a.m. The doors to the public are open at noon, and the annual auction begins at 1:30 p.m. They do take submissions. Each dish needs something chocolate in it. Also, each entry is locally made. The entrance is free. However, tasting tickets are 50 cents each or 10 for $5.00.
The Categories
A participant may enter any of these categories: cakes, candies, beverages, cookies/brownies, or pies.
How To Submit an Entry
To submit a chocolate entry, one must fill out an entry form. This form is found on their Facebook page at Facebook @Support4aChange. Christos House needs the filled out forms returned by January 31, 2020.
The entrant needs to leave the chocolate item at the church by 10:00 a.m. No late entries will be accepted. The entry forms can be returned to either of the Christos locations (one in Alton on the square and the other is on Imperial Center in West Plains). There is also a fax number: (417) 256-3428.
Judging
The donations, or entries, are tasted by all who visit the church. All visitors can vote on which item is best.
