Alton, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation says that registration is open for free and discounted permits. This permit is for any landowners that are looking for free and discounted turkey and deer hunting permits
Where to Register
Landowners can complete and submit the applications or they can print out the applications. They can stop at a local MDC office and pick up an application. Only the landowner can complete the applications. MDC advises that the landowners complete the forms before the deer and turkey seasons begin. The Landowner Permit Registry will allow the landowners to get the permits through MDC’s online system, at MDC offices, and over the counter at participating vendors. [1]
The registry will help the Missouri Department of Conservation tell who can have the free or discounted permits.
Other
Resident landowners owning 20 or more touching acres and nonresident landowners owning 75 or more touching acres may be able to have the free or discounted permits, starting this year in 2020.
Each of the qualifying landowners must complete his or her own landowner registry application. The landowner does not need any additional proof of land ownership except for that on the application. MDC says that the registry is needed by both the MDCÂ and the permit vendors to make sure that there is no misuse of landowner permits and privileges.
