Thomasville, Mo. – The Oregon County 4-H met at the Thomasville Community Center on Saturday, August 10, 2024, for its awards banquet.
Attendance
There were over twenty 4-Hers present and over twenty guests present for the banquet.
To Start Off
The meeting started with the secretary, Navaeh Bradley, giving her report, the Pledge of Allegiance being said, and a prayer being prayed.
Food
Those in attendance then ate supper which consisted of pasta salad, baked beans, pork sandwich, lemonade, tea, cake, and cookies.
Awards
Countless awards were given out including year completion awards which included First Year Clover Kids to Seventh Year. Special awards included Kids in the Kitchen, Public Speaking, Achievement Day, Showman Team, Alumni, Citizenship, and “I Dare You.”
Belt Buckles
Three 4-H kids in attendance also got belt buckles at the Texas County Fair this year. Wyatt Medlin was Grand Champion Market Steer. Myla Woods was Grand Champion Market Rabbits. Landry Gleghorn was Grand Champion Market Poultry. Wyatt and Landry also had awards from the Heart of the Ozarks Fair.
