Alton, Mo. – July 4, 2020, rang in another sunny farmer’s market. Even with holiday celebrations consuming the buyers’ thoughts, a crowd turned up at Tucker Creek Park.
Where Is This?
Tucker Creek Park is on the south side of Alton, Mo. The Farmer’s Market is open each Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., until fall. Due to COVID-19, the market set their booths up at the far end of the park, out in the open. However, as summer heats up, it’s nice to see the tables under cover of shade trees, welcoming shoppers to take their time and buy the best.
What Was There?
The market had quite a variety again. Farmers sold fresh produce like tomatoes, beans, peppers, and onions and garlic. Local honey was sold and another vendor sold homemade baskets. Not changing from previous sales, baked goods were also available to purchase and eat. Even kittens came out to find a new home.
