Multiple deer firearm seasons have been going on since mid-November. Now that the majority of the firearm seasons are done, here are the numbers for regular firearm, late youth, CWD portion, and late antlerless.
Regular
The regular firearm season happened from November 16th-26th. Of the 159,120 deer harvested, 82,613 were antlered bucks, 13,203 were button bucks, and 63,304 were does. [1] The top counties were Franklin, Texas, and Howell.
Late Youth
The late youth firearm portion happened from November 29th through December 1st. There were 2,530 deer harvested; 1,046 were antlered bucks, 270 were button bucks, and 1,214 were does. [2]
CWD
The CWD portion started right after the regular firearm season on November 27th and went on until December 1st. Of the 11,424 deer harvested, 3,917 were antlered bucks, 1,052 were button bucks, and 6,455 were does. [3] The top counties were Franklin, Jefferson, and Howell.
Late Antlerless
The final deer season was the late antlerless which happened from December 7th through 14th. Hunters harvested 14,607 deer during this portion. [4]
Other Seasons
Archery season is still going on until January 15, 2025. The alternative methods portion will go from December 28th through January 7th.
