The Mark Twain National Forest is looking for volunteer campground hosts for this summer. Ideally, this is for someone who has extra free time and is not constrained by financial worries. Dates and locations vary, but here is a quick rundown.
The Forest offers a small reimbursement for incidentals despite campground hosting being a volunteer position. The incidental reimbursement policy varies by site, so you should contact the appropriate recreation program contact listed for that site if you have any questions. Answering questions, ensuring that campsites are clean, taking water tests, and posting reservations are a few of the tasks of the host. These tasks may vary between recreation sites. Generally, a campground host keeps things running smoothly to ensure visitors have a pleasant stay.Â
