Are you excited about deer season—harvesting meat and perhaps processing it? Are you unsure how to begin? Processing your own deer can save you money while adding extra protein to your diet. The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is hosting a deer processing clinic. In preparation for firearm season, this clinic takes place before opening day.

What Is This?

The Missouri Department of Conservation invites the public to learn how to process deer before filling their tags this fall. Participants will learn the steps necessary to process the wild game themselves. The professional staff will discuss the field dressing process. In detail, they will demonstrate how to skin a game animal and butcher a deer in simple steps with minimal equipment.

This workshop will be on October 15 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Where Is This?
