Oregon County, Missouri has joined the many other counties in Missouri to pass out covid vaccinations. The health department has held three clinics so far.
Where Are The Clinics?
The first clinic was in Thayer on February 5. Thayer held another one on March 5. Alton held a vaccination clinic on February 26. The health department scheduled the next clinic for March 26 [1]. The Oregon County Health Department is also administering the vaccine at the clinic.
How To Register For A Vaccine
To register for a covid vaccine, Missouri residents may call 1-877-436-8411. One can call the health department at 417-778-7450. One can go online here to register or get additional information.
How Many Are Vaccinated?
According to Oregon County Health Department Administrator Susan Arasmith, more than 800 people received the vaccine prior to the local clinics opening. During the clinics, an additional 225 people have received the vaccination. Of that number, approximately half have received the second dose. As of March 9, approximately 10% of the residents of the county received the vaccination.
