The month of November brings along Thanksgiving. With Thanksgiving, you find out what you’re thankful for. Here are seven ways to show you’re thankfulness.
#1 Thirty Leaves
One way you can show you’re thankfulness is by thirty leaves. Cut out thirty leaves from construction paper or you can cut squares from it. For every day in November, write one thing you’re thankful for. Once you have written it down, tape it up on the wall or on your door.
#2 Tell Someone You’re Thankful
Sometimes, people don’t know if you’re thankful or not. Make an effort to tell someone that you’re thankful for what they do. Whether that be your parents, siblings, friends, or neighbors.
#3 Journal Your Thanks
Something you can do in the month of November or year-round is to keep a journal of thanks. [1] Take a minute or two each day and write down the things you are thankful for. After a couple of years, you can look back on it and see what you’re thankful for the most.
#4 Say Thank-you
If someone does something for you, such as doing your chores or opening the door for you, say thank-you. Let the person know you appreciate what they did.
#5 Surprise Someone
By surprising someone, that does not mean scare them or do something not very nice. By “surprise,” do your siblings chores for a day or help clean up after supper. Offer to help mom make supper.
#6 Smile
Everyone loves a smile. Smiles are contagious. Next time you see someone, anyone, smile at them. It’ll cheer up there day and your day.
#7 Don’t Complain- But Compliment
No one likes a complainer around them; but a lot of people do like compliments. If you see someone doing something good, compliment them.
Try to do one thing each day in the month of November to show you’re thankful for someone.
