Alton, Mo. – Amid the coronavirus, some cities have canceled their fireworks. The Alton, Missouri, and Thayer, Missouri fireworks are still to go on as planned. You can hit the Alton fireworks one night and the Thayer fireworks the next night.
The Dates/Places
The Alton fireworks will host on July 3, 2020, at Piney Creek Park. The Thayer fireworks will be held on July 4, 2020, at the Thayer High School football field.
The Activities for Alton
AltonMO.com does not know as of now what events the Alton fireworks will have except for the fireworks. But residents are encouraged to come out and enjoy the celebration of the birth of our country.
Thayer Activities
For the Thayer fireworks, the gates will open at 5:00 pm. The Southern Edge Band will supply the music. At 5:30 pm the AirEvac will land on the football field. At 6:00 pm the Color Guard will come out. The skydivers will come and parachute onto the field at 6:30 pm. Next, at 6:45 pm, Robert Doll will be flying over the field in a British Jet Provo’s Plane. [1] The E-Communications, South 63 Motors, Skillets of the West Plains Sizzlin Summer Giveaway will happen at 7:15 pm. And at 9:00 pm, the fantastic fireworks show will happen.
There will also be food vendors, barbeque, funnel cakes, and popcorn. You can also donate for the fireworks event.
