Video
The AltonMo.com field team went around and interviewed different people at the Walnut Festival asking them the following questions: “How many times have you been to the Walnut Festival? What’s your favorite booth? and What would you like to see at next year’s Walnut Festival?”
Vendors
A variety of vendors was there selling t-shirts, bracelets, necklaces, raffle tickets, wooden crafts, and other items. The FFA booth was a big hit since they were giving away fish.
Activities
The music throughout the day kept everyone entertained if they were not interested in the different booths. The quilt turning also brought a crowd out to see the intricately made quilts.
Contests
There were three contests at the Walnut Festival: baking, woodworking, and pumpkin carving. For the pumpkin carving contest, the kids’ imaginations went wild: there was no pumpkin the same. There were multiple pies and breads entered in the baking contest as well.
Large Crowd
The square was a busy place all day with people parking everywhere, even on the bypass! This year it was a beautiful, sunny day that brought out a substantial amount more people than last year.
AltonMo.com
The AltonMo.com booth had lots of kids coming and going all day doing games to get different prizes. We also had a cake and cupcake walk with the kids entering multiple times. One kid one three cakes!
