The Alton, Missouri, City Pool is holding the second set of Shark Swim Classes from August 1, 2023, through August 3, 2023. You must pre-register to participate.
Age
This is for kids ages ten and up. Some exceptions may be made depending on skill level.
Registration
To register, you can go to this link. The Shark Swim Class will start on Tuesday, August 1st, and will go through Thursday, August 3rd. It will be 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm nightly. [1]
What’s Taught
Many different skills will be taught and refined. Some things that will be taught are as follows: shallow angle dive from the side, tuck and pike surface dives, treading water, how to call for help, and the importance of knowing first aid and CPR, river and ocean safety, and junior lifeguard skills.
