The Alton High School Art Club in Alton, Missouri, hosted a movie night at the Alton Multi-Purpose building at 505 School Street on February 18, 2023, showing the movie Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. It was a huge success with people of all ages coming.
Concessions
The Art Club had different concessions to munch on while watching the movie including popcorn, cookies, soda, water, and chips.
The Group
While the club was expecting “about forty” for the movie night, there were at least eighty people attending. The group ranged from elderly people to toddlers.
Another Movie?
This movie night was a “trial and run,” so they aren’t sure if they’ll do it in the future.
Movie Genres
If the Art Club was to do this movie night again, one of the club members said that they would stick to family friendly films.
We’re trying to stay family friendly, because, you know, community wise, and we want to make sure that, like, everyone can come and watch it…
Interviews
At the movie night, the AltonMo.com field team had a chance to interview some of the attendees. Two questions asked were “What movie would you like to see next?” and “What’s your favorite snack to eat while watching the movie?”
Movie
The most-asked for movie was Shrek. Other movie suggestions include Spongebob, Coco, and Rango. Other types of movies include Marvel, scary movies, and family movies.
Snacks
Out of the people polled, 61.5% of the people said that their favorite snack to eat while watching a movie was popcorn. Chips and brownies got 15% of the votes each. Other mentions include M&M’s, cotton candy, and Airhead strips.
