Deer in field.

Imagine you are down near Turner Mill during deer season. Here comes the big buck! As you take a shot or two at it, you realize you need more ammunition. But sunset is in 30 minutes. That is not enough time to get to Walmart, purchase what you need, and return to your stand to harvest the buck. Ahh, what to do?

How about turkey hunting on the back-40? Forty-five minutes left in the season. You used your last shot on a passing coyote an hour ago. And here comes the gobbler. Now what?

American Rounds is out meeting hunters’ needs by installing automated ammunition vending machines. This could only happen in a day like today, not even ten years ago. But with modern technology, using QR codes on phones, and vending machines taking credit cards, anything is possible!

Where Is This?

Ammo Rounds installed its first machine in a grocery store in Pell City, Alabama, in November. Since then, they have installed machines in Oklahoma and Texas.

CEO Grant Magers said the company has

over 200 store requests for AARM units covering approximately 9 states currently and that number is growing daily [1].

Before a transaction can be made, the machine uses ID scanners and facial recognition technology.

More Info

Each machine is located inside a store. It is heavy—2,000 pounds—and very secure. Buyers can buy shotgun, rifle, and handgun rounds via the machines. So far, customers like the convenience. In comparison, senior hunters prefer to purchase ammo at the local gun shop while sharing stories with the guy behind the counter. In contrast, younger-generation outdoorsmen prefer this instant, technological way of buying.

Whichever way you get your ammunition is fine. just do not miss that big buck!
