West Plains, Mo. – The Heart of the Ozarks Fair started on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, in West Plains, Missouri. The carnival started at 6:00 pm, along with the auction.
Sales Barn
The animals auctioned off on the 6th included steers, hogs, sheep, and goats. There were kids from Dora and Alton, and FFA and 4-H kids were showing their animals. Businesses arrived early to see what they would bid on.
Rides
The rides opened at 6:00 pm, with rides being only $1.00. There were some old rides from last year, but also new rides. Some of the rides include the Himalaya, Area 51, Cliff Hanger, Fun Slide, Dizzy Dragon, Zero Gravity, Ferris Wheel, Swings, Dizzy Dragon, and a lot more!
Concessions
There were concession stands set up around the fairgrounds. Some of the food offered was tenderloins, nachos, and lemonade.
Other Activities
If rides aren’t your cup of tea, there were other activities, including hitting beer bottles, popping balloons with darts, and shooting hoops.
The Week
The fair continues until Saturday, with the carnival opening at 6:00 pm every night. There will also be a major event each night, including a truck pull and demolition derby.
