Alton, Mo. – Spring has arrived in Alton, Missouri. Nonetheless, cool weather has come alongside the rain. Farmer’s Market attendees, though small in number, still come to sell and buy.
What Is Selling?
On most Saturdays, Tucker Creek Park has tables and booths arranged for display of homemade goods. Usually one can find lettuce and spring vegetables, like peppers or squash. Then home crafted items like wicker baskets and wooden benches adorn the market area. A buyer can sometimes find fresh eggs and locally authored books. Small animals come seeking new owners, too.
When Is This?
The Alton Farmer’s Market meets Saturdays at Tucker Creek Park, rain or shine. This is the park behind First Baptist Church on Highway 19. It begins at 9:00 a.m. and finishes at 1:00 p.m.
