West Plains, Mo. – A highly anticipated event every year is the Heart of the Ozarks Fair. Every June for one week, huge crowds come to enjoy fun evenings and enter their animals. This year on opening night of the carnival, on June 7, 2022, the rides were only one dollar each. Huge crowds came and enjoyed the rides.
Different Rides
There were lots of different rides for everyone. A favorite one of everyone was Area 51. Long lines formed to go on it from the opening of the carnival. They had Moby Dick which was another favorite. Other rides included a Ferris wheel, Scrambled Eggs, and other spinning rides. Rides were also available for younger children including spinning cars and a train. A House of Mirrors was there to challenge a person to get out.
Games
A variety of games were available if you weren’t adventurous. Some included baseball, basketball games, shooting games and more. Prizes were handed out as well. The games tested your accuracy skills.
Concessions
Lots of concession stands were available. One that got a lot of customers was the lemonade stand. Fried oreos, nachos, and other yummy foods were there.
Large Crowd
The carnival started at 6:00 pm and went until 11:00 pm. Even at the opening of the carnival, the fairgrounds were packed. While AltonMo.com did not get the approximate number of carnival-goers, a person had to wait in line for any of the rides at least 30 minutes.
Rest of the Week
The fair will be open from now until Saturday, June 11, 2022. The carnival goes from 6-11 pm every night. For prices and other events, you can go here.
