A pleasant recreation to do during the summer months is to take a nice swim. Unfortunately, when the pool is open, it is often crowded, and individuals have difficulty swimming. The Alton, Missouri, swimming pool has set apart a time for lap swimming starting Tuesday, June 20, 2023.
Dates
On Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, lap swimming will be at 8:30 am every week. On Tuesday and Thursday, the lap swimming will be at 6:30 pm. [1]
Cost
The cost is $3 daily, $30 for ten swims, or unlimited with a summer pass.
Age
Kids sixteen and older can participate in lap swimming.
Details
There will be thirty minutes of just lap swimming. Swimmers are encouraged to participate in the water aerobics as well, which will either be before or after the lap swimming. This is a time to work on swimming technique and fitness or to simply enjoy uninterrupted swimming laps.
Rules
Swimmers who participate in lap swimming are requested to lap swim, and not visit or do any recreational activities that would halt the conducive environment for lap swimming. It is recommended to check their Facebook page to see if there are cancelations due to weather, private events, or anything else.
