The 37th Annual Black Gold Walnut Festival is fast approaching on September 30, 2022, and October 1, 2022. The weekend will be filled with awesome activities. The Walnut Festival is a family-friendly event. This is a brief overview of the Walnut Festival weekend.
Friday
Friday night is the 5K/1 mile walk/run with registration beginning at 5:30 pm. There is going to be free bouncy houses, a classic car cruise-in, music, and food. Note: Due to the Alton Fire Department having a corn-hole tournament, there will not be one at the run.
Saturday
The Walnut Festival starts at 9:00 am on Saturday. There will be a pumpkin carving, woodworking, and baking contest. Live music will be performed throughout the day. A wide variety of booths will be there selling food, drinks, clothes, and more! The quilt show will also happen again at the Community Worship Center at 10:00 am. Also throughout the day, free inflatables, popcorn, and snow cones will be available for the kids. A petting zoo may also be there. AltonMo.com will also have a booth set up for free kids games and a cake walk!
