Thayer, Mo. –Thayer, Missouri, held its 4th of July celebration on the holiday, July 4, 2024. The AltonMo.com field team had the opportunity to interview the locals with history-themed questions. The third question was “Can you name two of the Ten Commandments?” The answers were almost evenly split between knowing and not knowing the answer.

Final Question
The final question, and according to the numbers, one of the hardest questions, was “Before Washington, D.C., what city was the United States first capitol?”
- Correctly answered: 19%
- Incorrectly answered: 81%
Bonus
The bonus question was “What is the United States motto?” This was probably the second hardest question.
