Thayer, Mo. – Thayer, Missouri, had their Fourth of July festivities on July 4, 2022, at the Thayer High School football field. Skydivers and the Air Evac helicopter came; food and candidate vendors were also there.
Skydivers
To start off the evening, skydivers came. After testing the wind, the plane circled back around and dropped the skydivers. One of the skydivers carried the United States flag.
Air Evac
After the skydivers came, the Air Evac landed. Immediately crowds gathered around the helicopter. Kids, and adults, were allowed to sit in the seats of the Air Evac helicopter.
Vendors
Lots of vendors were at the festivities. Funnel cakes, cotton candy, lemonade, and ice cream were being sold. Candidates were also at the festivities to connect with their voters. The candidates who showed up were: Henry Smith, William Hass, Judge Harvey Allen, Betty Grooms, David Stubblefield, and Crystal Howell.
Music And Activities
Music was played by the Redline Band. Bouncy houses were also at the the festivities. Kids were also seen playing volleyball, soccer, and football on the football field.
Fireworks
To close out the night, Thayer had the fireworks show. Deemed to be one of the biggest and best fireworks shows in the area, Thayer tried to live up to that name. While the show only lasted 20 minutes, they had some huge fireworks.
