The Thayer, Missouri, FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) is having a “Running into the New Year” 5K race on Saturday, December 30, 2023, beginning at 10:00 am.
Where and When
The races will start in downtown Thayer on Front Street. Registration starts at 9:00 am, with the first race starting at 10:00 am, on December 30th. [1]
The Races
There will be three races on December 30th. There will be a 5K, a 1 mile walk, and a 1 mile kids (12 years old and younger) run.
Register
You can register online by commenting on the original Facebook post and later paying the day of. You can also register before the race on the day of. The cost for adults is $30, and the cost for kids is $15. T-shirts will be included in the adults’ fee. Additional t-shirts can be bought at the race, but there will be a limited amount.
Medals
Medals will be given out to the top 25 runners in the men’s division, women’s division, and children’s division. There will be no medals for the kids’ race.
Refreshments
Water will be provided for the runners and walkers. Food trucks will also be set up in the area. The Thayer FCCLA group will also have hot chocolate.
Profits
All the profits from the races will go to the Thayer FCCLA, which will help them get to state convention.
This is a great time to have fun with friends and family while supporting the Thayer FCCLA. It’s also a great chance to get a head start on 2024!
