Although it’s not past Thanksgiving yet, towns across the county are getting ready for Christmas. One of those towns is Alton, Missouri. Alton’s Christmas parade will be on Saturday, December 2, 2023.
Theme
The theme for this year’s Christmas parade is Christmas Movie Magic. This means you can decorate your vehicle or float as your favorite Christmas movie.
Schedule
Multiple events are going on throughout the event. At 4:00 pm, the pageant and grand marshal recognition begins. This will be on the courthouse steps. At 5:00 pm, parade line ups will start at the school. Float judging will begin at 5:30 pm. [1] Finally, the parade will start at 6:00 pm. The annual Night on the Town will also be going on.
Parade Route
The parade route will start at the school and go down Market Street to the bypass where they will turn left. At Couch Street, the parade will go up to the square and circle around it passing by the library. The route continues on passing by the Burger Palace and back to the school.
