Schools are wrapping up their school years, and students are getting ready for summer fun. In anticipation of that, the Alton pool and the West Plains Aquatic Center are opening Memorial weekend.
Alton
The Alton city pool is opening on May 27, 2024, at 11:00 am. From Monday through Saturday, until the next school year, they will be open from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm. The pool will be open from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm on May 29th and 31st, and June 4th, 6th, 11th, 13th, 18th, and 20th due to pool parties. [1]
Cost
The cost to swim is $4. Ten swims cost $30, and individual passes cost $50. Family passes cost $160. For a two-hour pool party, the cost is $100.
West Plains
The West Plains Aquatic Center is also opening on May 27th. It will be open from noon until 5:00 pm. On Thursdays, there will be an evening swim from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. [2]
Cost
For kids 3-11, the cost is $5, and for kids 12 and up, the cost is $6. Children under three are free. Kids under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. A punch card for ten swims will be available for $30. For more information, you can call the Parks and Recreation office at 417-256-7304.
