Thomasville, Mo. – American loving citizens of Thomasville, Missouri and the surrounding area gathered under cloudy skies and moved in warm and humid air to celebrate the 4th of July, 2020 with a Pie Auction, Duck Races, Music supplied by Dawson Hollow, a Dunk Tank and other assorted activities.
The ladies at the Pie Auction were shy and didn’t want their pictures taken, but boy did the pies look good (the ladies probably didn’t want to outshine the pies, all for a good cause you know…)
There were duck races down at the river but I didn’t get down there. If anyone knows who won, comment below and I’ll edit this post with their name. Yay ducks!
Dawson Hollow, a self-described “Indie-Folk” band from Lebanon, Mo., did a little soundcheck before the main event. They sound good. Really good harmonies and vocals with playing ability. Check ’em out at their www.dawsonhollow.com website.
Dustin Shaw waits for the inevitable in the “Dunk Tank”. When we spoke last (right after this picture was taken) he was still dry.
Inside the Thomasville High School, there were snacks and a museum.
God Bless the USA.
