Alton, Mo. – Local senior centers are planning a special lunch. Alton Senior Center is having a “grab a burger and go” lunch. The public is invited, even those who are not seniors. A week later this fun lunch will be duplicated in Thayer at its senior center. This event is an opportunity to let the public meet the new senior center administrator, Meghan Haenel.
When Is The Alton Lunch?
On Thursday, July 9, 2020, the senior center is opening the doors for this special lunch. The lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The lunch for that day the senior center will serve a hamburger, coleslaw, baked beans, cookie, and a bottle of water.
When Is The Thayer Lunch?
Thayer Fun and Friends Senior Center will serve a “grab and go” lunch on Friday, July 17, 2020. This is also served from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The menu consists of a Reuben sandwich, chips, baked beans, cookie, ice cream, and a bottle of water.
Additional Reminders?
The cost for either of these events is $3.50 for seniors age 60 and over. Those under 60 can pay $6.00. Remember, no eating in. This is only to get your lunch and go. For additional questions, one can call 417-778-7342 in Alton or 417-264-7354 in Thayer.
