Alton, Mo. – Another Saturday, June 11, 2022, has come and gone with the Oregon County Farmer’s Market getting lots of business from locals and visitors. A variety of items were sold at the farmer’s market including baked goods, pillows, books, and vegetables.
Baked Goods
There were many baked goods a buyer could choose from. There were fruit pies, cookies, loaves of bread, and cinnamon rolls. Jams and brownies were also available.
Vegetables
Vegetables were also for sale at the farmer’s market; but if you want any, be sure to arrive early! Fresh blueberries, lettuce, kale, cucumbers, and sweet potato slips were ready to be bought.
Pillows and Books
Different books from a local author were there for you to read. Also being sold were homemade aprons, pillows, blankets, ice cream holders, and potato cooker mitts.
Miscellaneous
Spanish turkeys and fuzzy bunnies were also at the farmer’s market. If you’re looking to bake a pecan pie, shelled pecans were being sold at the market. Painted gourds, made into every shape possible, were at the market and would look very decorative in your home.
Meat and Eggs
Rabbit meat and chicken meat were ready for buyers to buy. Fresh eggs were also being sold.
The farmer’s market is held every Saturday from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. Make sure to support the locals and check out their goods.
