Some high schools require the students of that school to put a certain amount of hours in community service before they can graduate. This can give the students a good experience. When the student graduates he will know how to take care of people and his own things. Doing community service will also humble them; instead of being taken care of, they would take care of someone else. It will teach them to work after they graduate.
Why?
Community service will also make a difference to the students and the people around them. It will keep the students busy and they will know how to do things. People will see the students working and cleaning. Local residents will think that they are that good as the students. In addition to the other things, the students will also know how to take care of their land for when they grow up.
Examples
Community services do multiple jobs to help others. A job might be to clean the side of the road so that it doesn’t look messy. Another might be to help at a nursing home and help the seniors for a day. One that might be the easiest is probably ringing a bell for someone at Christmas time. The high school student might not want to do community service, but it might help them in the future.
