This past July, a new superintendent was chosen since the the old superintendent, Eric Allen, went on to another school. The new superintendent is Dr. Julie Williams who is a former graduate of Alton. She officially started on July 1, 2022.
Main Goal
For this upcoming school year, Superintendent Williams main goal is build pride in the Alton School District. She also stated that she wants to do the following in the upcoming school year:
Build like, a comradery between the desires of the parents, the community, what is best for our students, and to bring pride into our district…
Students and Families
Dr. Williams believes that communication is vital; between students, parents, and the school. She also believes that parents should know what their student is supposed to learn.
All parents should have an idea of what it is their child is supposed to learn in a given school year. And then, it’s the job of the school district and the teachers and the administrators to make sure the parents understand how their child is moving through the education system…
