The Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich sent a letter to the U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland on Monday, June 14, 2021, telling him to stay away from the audit going on.
Justice Department
The U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division wrote to the Arizona State Senate President Karen Fann saying that there were complaints concerning how the audit was being handled and completed. [1]
The Letter
In response to the letter sent by the Justice Department, Attorney General Brnovich sent a letter back to the U.S. attorney general.
Brnovich stated that they won’t condone the Justice Department coming in and taking control of the audit.
My office is not amused by the DOJ’s posturing and will not tolerate any effort to undermine or interfere with out State Senate’s audit to reassure Arizonans of the accuracy of our elections. [2]
Closing Out
As Brnovich closed out the letter, he declared that Arizona will not sit back as the Biden administration takes control of everything.
Arizona will not sit back and let the Biden administration abuse its authority, refuse to uphold laws, or attempt to commandeer our state’s sovereignty. [3]
