Alton, Mo. – Clear, bright sunny skies started the day, welcoming voters to come out and do their civic duty. Tuesday, August 4, 2020, dawned bright and crisp. No rain or fog to deter the early voters.
How Many Voted?
As the day progressed, citizens came out in singles or small groups to the Alton First Baptist Church to cast their ballot. With no cloud in the sky, residents showed up before during, and after work hours. As of 3:00 p.m., approximately 400 citizens had voted in Alton alone. That is not counting the rest of Oregon County or even Missouri.
Why Vote?
With many issues at stake and the direction our state and country are headed, voters needed to head to the polling places and let their voices be heard.
