Alton, Mo. – On Saturday, June 1, 2024, the Oregon County Republican Party met with several candidates to hear them speak of their accomplishments and goals if elected. Keith Elliott spoke. While he had spoken in Thayer, this was his first official speaking engagement in Alton. He is running for state representative in the 153rd district.
Experience
Elliott came prepared, bringing his notes of accomplishments with him. He has served on the school board, MODOT, and cattle operations boards.
Taxes
Elliott wants accountability for each tax dollar spent. He realizes that taxes are necessary to handle the government’s tasks, but they should not overwhelm the taxpayer. Therefore, no tax money should go to fund illegals.
Beliefs
Elliott is unashamedly pro-life and pro-second amendment. He lives in Doniphan and attends church there. Through the church, he has helped on numerous mission trips.
