As mentioned in our previous article, Missouri has 11 candidates running for governor. We did a quick rundown on the Republican side; now here are the five Democrats.
Eric Morrison
Morrison is the first candidate running and he lives in Kansas City. He is a pastor after having received several Biblical degrees. He did run unsuccessfully for governor in 2016. Additional information is found here, but altonmo.com is working on his stance on particular issues.
Nicole Galloway
Galloway lives in Columbia. She is currently the state auditor. Galloway is running on the platform of “New Way”. Some of her issues are expanding Medicaid (raising taxes) and adding gun control measures. Planned Parenthood endorses her. Her additional views on various issues can be found here.
Jimmie Matthews
Jimmie Matthews is the next Democratic candidate for governor. He resides in St. Louis. Altonmo.com finds little information on him or his views, we are working on it to inform you before election day.
Antoin Johnson
Johnson also lives in St. Louis. She lived in Florida before coming to Missouri where she graduated from Harris-Stowe State University and earned a master’s from Lindenwood University. Her platform is universal healthcare, free interstate college, and creating jobs for the working and poor class. She fights for higher wages, against elderly abuse, racism, and police brutality. More of her views are seen here.
Robin John Daniel Van Quaethem
Van Quaethem is another one who lives in St. Louis. That is about all AltonMo.com knows at present. However, as additional information is gained from him, we will pass it on to the public.
That’s all of the democratic candidates running for governor. Questionnaires are sent out to all running for public office in hopes of getting information for the community to vote wisely.
