Missouri General Election Results Are In!

The General Elections votes have been tallied in Missouri and the winners are announced. Although the rest of the country is still tallying their results for the President, here are the results for Missouri.

Presidential Votes

President Trump overwhelmingly took the congressional college votes with 56.826% of Missouri votes, far over the Democratic nominee, Joe Biden, with only 41.257% of the votes. That means Missouri sends all 10 of the electoral college votes to Trump. Here in Oregon County, 81.177% of voters voted to reelect Trump, and his law and order policies.

Governor

Going parallel to the Presidential percentages, a total of 57.171% of Missouri registered voters decided to reelect Governor Parson for a second term, overriding Nicole Galloway and her views of how the government should run the people. Once more, Oregon County gave 80.418% of its votes to Parson.

Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, and Attorney General

The Republican incumbent won in each of these offices. The percentage of the winning votes was approximately 60%. The winners are Mike Kehoe, John Ashcroft, Scott Fitzpatrick, and Eric Schmitt. Locally in Oregon County, each of the winners received about 80% of the final votes.

U.S. Representative

As this is voted on every two years, Missourians did reelect Jason Smith who supports the NRA and farmers. He received 76% of the votes and 80% of the Oregon County votes.

State Senator

Karla Eslinger was the Republican candidate endorsed by retiring State Senator Mike Cunningham. She won 83.813% of the area votes, including 81.051% of Oregon County’s votes.

State representative

With Representative Pogue retiring from his position, the primary elections were more intent on this position. Ron Copeland won then and without any opponent, he won 100% of the votes in the area and the county.

Judges

Missouri voters did reelect both of the judges, Breckenridge and Lynch, by over 80% of the county’s votes.

Amendments

Amendment number one asked about limiting the term for an elected office; it failed. However, amendment number 3 that dealt with redistricting passed.
