On Tuesday, June 2, 2020, Oregon County, Missouri held its municipal elections. This was originally scheduled for April, but the pandemic concerns postponed the election until Tuesday. Residents voted on several positions.
Oregon County Health Department
The Health Department had two positions open. Running were Diana Clary, Duane Dawson, and Judy Wright. Wright and Clary won.
Alton School Board
There were three positions open for the Alton School Board. Running for the office were Ricky Allen, Jamie Sisco, Ryan Miller, and Bart Kernodle. Henson, Kernodle, and Sisco will take office.
Couch Results
Couch School board also had three open positions. Running for this position were Adam Crowder, Thomas Smith, Luke Fisher, and James Morgan. Smith, Crowder, and Morgan won. The proposition to raise taxes for the school passed with 53.19% of the votes.
Alton Results
The Alton, Mo mayor ran unopposed, so Paul Haddock won the position. Two openings were available for city alderman. Wesley Buckner, Kody McIntire, and Tom Young all ran. Young and McIntire won.
Koshkonong
Koshkonong Mayor George Hunt ran unopposed and won.
Thayer Results
Thayer Alderman Ward 1 had only the incumbent running, so Michael King won. For Alderman Ward 2, Kem Trimble and Janice Tolar ran. Tolar won that race. The ballot use tax passed with 76.97% of the votes.
Missouri has the primary elections on August 4, 2020. The general election is scheduled for November 3, 2020.
