Alton, Mo. – The Alton polling place located at First Baptist Church on Highway 19 was busy today. At 2:00 p.m. over 600 ballots had been cast, and the lower parking lot was full.
Electioneering
Electioneering was light this afternoon with less than five individuals promoting their candidate. They were outside the 25-foot electioneering red zone mandated by Missouri state law that prohibits handing out materials or supporting a candidate within 25 feet of the nearest outer door of the polling place.
When to Vote
The polls across Missouri opened at 6:00 this morning and will close at 7:00 tonight. There are 15 polling places in Oregon County Missouri. Voters still in line at 7:00 p.m. will be allowed to cast their ballot [1].
