Results From The Oregon County Municipal Elections On April 8th

The municipal elections took place on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Only about 1/7 of the registered voters showed up to vote. Here are the results from the election.

Taxes

There were three questions pertaining to taxes. The Senior Citizens Property Tax Relief passed with 82.97% of the votes. The Oregon County Road and Bridge Sales Tax did not pass, receiving 47.66% of the votes. The Oregon County Ambulance Tax passed with 52.38% of the votes.

Kosh

The Koshkonong district voted for school board members and aldermen.

  • Joan Billingsley got 26.51% of the votes.
  • Ruth Waggoner got 25.30% of the votes.

For the alderman for Koshkonong, Matthew Bryant got 57.89% and Adam Rosseau got 42.11%.

Alton

Alton also voted for two school board members and two aldermen. The school board results are as follows:

  • Kody McIntire got 31.09%
  • Becky Granger got 26.68%

The two aldermen voted in are Shane Casey (43.01%) and Wesley Buckner (37.63%).

Thayer

The voting district of Thayer voted in two aldermen, a municipal judge, and a mayor. For Thayer Alderman Ward I, Dirk Shultz won with 65.29% of the votes. For Ward II, Stephen Clark won with 96.30% of the votes.

The only one running for judge was William Hass; he got 99.65% of the votes. For mayor, Donna Martin won with 62.67% of the votes.

Winona

Although the Winona voting district only had to vote for two school directors, no one showed up to vote.

Ambulance

Two ambulance districts (2 and 5) had to vote for a board member. For District 2, Sheila Campbell won with 66.77% of the votes. For District 5, Thomas J. Smith was the only one running, so he won with 99.03% of the votes.
