At the beginning of the month, AltonMo.com reported on a bill going through the Missouri House committee, HB 1169. This is an update on the status of that bill.
History Of The Bill
Representative Jones submitted the bill. She is anxious about gene-altering products being administered into our food without our knowledge. As a newly elected representative this January, she submitted House Bill 1169. Back in February, the bill had its first and second reads. Then it went to the committee.
Current Status
Right now, the bill is still in still in committee. AltonMo.com spoke with our Representative, Representative Atchison. He was very aware of this distinguished bill. He was also aware that several amendments were being added to this bill. With that knowledge, it is doubtful that it will come out of committee this season.
