When President Joe Biden suggested going door-to-door promoting the COVID-19 vaccines, Missouri’s Governor Mike Parson pushed back on it and said no.
No Federal Help
Governor Parson said that they do not need federal help. Governor Parson said in a tweet,
I have directed our health department to let the federal government know that sending government employees or agents door-to-door to compel vaccination would NOT be an effective OR a welcome strategy in Missouri. [1]
No Forcing Them
While Missouri won’t accept federal help, they will continue to have vaccination sites at convenient locations for those who want it. [2]
No Misleading The People
Governor Parson said while in Kansas City that we shouldn’t be misleading people like we’re in a crisis right now.
We are all concerned about the spike in the delta virus but to try to mislead people like we are in crisis is totally misleading. We are not in a crisis mode in this state and we shouldn’t be right now. [3]
