Today is the inauguration of Donald Trump. Because it is his inauguration, the White House needs to replace President Biden’s decor with President Trump’s.
When It Starts
The official planning starts after the presidential race has been called, but the actual removal of furniture and decor doesn’t start until the presiding President leaves for the inauguration ceremonies. Once the current President leaves, workers have only five to six hours to get everything ready for the new President.
New Items
All of the old President’s personal items, decor, and furniture will be moved out. The incoming President and First Lady can request almost anything from painting new rooms to new furniture to new flooring to even a bowling alley!
Historical Items
The new President and First Lady can also pick out old historical artifacts and paintings that can be displayed at the White House.
