On Monday, May 4, 2020, the Missouri State highway announced that drivers testing will partially resume. With the First Phase of Recovery for Missouri underway, the MSHP (Missouri State Highway Patrol) is working with the public to remain safe while pressing forward conducting business.
What Is Included?
The driver testing services will resume in written testing for all classes for all licenses. Commercial driver license skills testing is included. This consists of the pre-trip, basic, and road tests. Non-CDL road testing is Not included in this phase of recovery.
Are There Stipulations?
As with many reinstatements right now, there is some advice. First, priority is given to those who have already passed a portion of their CDL skills test. Other priorities are given to those applicants who had an appointment scheduled prior to the suspension of testing last month, school bus operators who are over the age of 80, and require annual testing, and applicants with other essential needs.
Applicants should wear a face covering while in the driver examination facilities. He should also adhere to social distancing guidelines. The applicant should also arrive in a sanitized vehicle.
The MSHP will keep the website updated with a list of designated testing locations, days of service, hours of operation, and phone numbers here.
