Last week, Representative Smith discussed various topics concerning Missouri citizens. Among them were Ms. Harris’s proposed tax plan and what the United States should do should the WHO (World Health Organization) decide to shut everyone down again for a pandemic. Here are his thoughts.

Tax Plan

This is what Representative Smith said. Americans already pay 20% more to cover the cost of basic necessities because of the Biden-Harris administration, and those costs went up again last month, according to the latest inflation report. After more than three years of failed economic policies, the Biden-Harris administration continues to hide, lie, and deceive, hoping the American people won’t blame the administration for their financial struggles. I’ll continue working around the clock to advance the policies we need to get our economy back on track.

WHO Decisions

The House voted on resolution H.R. 1425.

No WHO Pandemic Preparedness Treaty Without Senate Approval Act: This act ensures congressional oversight of decisions made by international bureaucrats at the World Health Organization (WHO) by requiring that any convention or agreement on pandemic-related issues resulting from the WHO’s intergovernmental negotiating body be deemed a treaty requiring the advice and consent of the Senate.

PASSED, REP. SMITH VOTED YES

Representative Jason Smith is running on the Republican ticket for reelection as our state representative.
